To check out a stroller or wheelchair, guests must present a valid ID which will be held until the equipment is returned. The museum is pleased to provide a limited number of strollers and wheelchairs at no charge. Tripods and external lights may not be used without prior authorization from the museum’s Communications Director. Unless otherwise noted, photography for personal use is allowed with hand-held cameras. Please check the page for the event that you're attending or call Guest Relations at 40 for more information. Outside food and beverages are not allowed during most after-hours events. The museum does not have microwaves available for public use. SMO has a variety of food and beverage options in Pavlov's Cafe, however guests are welcome to bring outside food and non-alcoholic beverages into the museum during regular museum hours. As long as your party has adult supervision, please feel free to drop them off in our circle driveway prior to parking. On very busy days, overflow parking is available at Remington Park. Yes! To align with revised CDC guidelines, we strongly recommend vaccinated guests wear masks while in the museum. We do require that unvaccinated guests ages 13+ wear masks while inside the museum. The museum is open on all other federal holidays, including New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Science Museum Oklahoma is closed on Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
